Museum Night Fever in Brussels, where art meets the nightlife

Museum Night Fever is a collaboration between museums in Brussels to open their doors to visitors and young artists on Saturday evening the 14th of March. With 31 museums collaborating, the 13th edition is setting out to be the biggest one yet.

Museums are offering themselves up to serve as a playground for young artists who will perform over 100 events from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. Think several concerts, black magic, and even a giant luminous jellyfish. The idea behind the initiative, according to the press release, is to “refute the formal image of museums, access to which is still a privilege for many.”

Be ready for a party
For the first time, the Sewer Museum and Fondation A Stichting are participating in the event. There are even several museums making a comeback, one of them Botanique. The famous cultural center in the heart of Brussels will serve as a gigantic murder mystery game with live music and guided tours. Five museums are even holding afterparties from midnight till 3 a.m. and shuttles are included in the price.

Museum Night Fever will take place Saturday 14th March from 7 p.m. till 1 a.m. Tickets are 13 euro in presale and 17 euro on the day itself which includes all 31 museums, 5 after parties, and shuttles. For more information visit www.museumnightfever.be.
