This mini documentary tells the story of Marita De Koninck, a 50 year old former skipper who tragically lost her husband due to a brain bleed. After her husband’s death, she had to change her path and find her own way to cope, which lead to her taking over a flower store and leaving her old life on the water behind. Still living in Antwerp, Marita shares her experience of losing a loved one and explains her journey from being an inland skipper to being a florist. Watch the full documentary below.
