In 2021, the movie Belfast was released. A movie which has been critically acclaimed by several film critics. It’s a semi-autobiographical film, based on the childhood years of director Kenneth Branagh during the Troubles in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland and the centre of the conflict. The Troubles (1969-1998) was a political/religious conflict between the Catholic nationalists and the Protestant loyalists.
